Conversatorio de la Presidenta-Electa de ALA con líderes del campo de las bibliotecas de Puerto Rico

 

 

Fecha límite para que museos, archivos, bibliotecas, lugares arqueológicos y estructuras históricas pueda presentar una solicitud de asistencia pública: 18 de enero de 2018

Dear Colleagues,

A deadline of January 18, 2018, has been set for filing a FEMA Request for Public Assistance (RPA) form. If cultural institutions and arts organizations miss it, they miss the opportunity to be considered for, and possibly receive, federal disaster assistance. Please do not pre-judge the eligibility of your organization. It’s most important that you file that one-page RPA before the January 18 deadline. If, for some reason, your organization turns out not to be eligible, it will at least help us know who and where you are. Then we can see if other recovery resources could be brought to bear to help you.

The first document is a short announcement in Spanish that you can cut and paste into an email; the second provides more detailed information about applying for Public Assistance. I have also provided this as a Word document in case you want to send it out in the body of an email.

Comunicado de la Presidenta de REFORMA Nacional relacionado al reembolso del cuota de inscripción de la conferencia nacional que fue cancelada

Hi,

As we are making the reimbursements, it has come to our attention that we cannot make the credit card transaction on some registrations due to the time that has elapsed. Also many registrations came through an organization, so we are not sure if the check should be made out to you or your organization. The Treasurer may have contacted you already on this.

2) address where we can send the check & the name if it is not yours

Presidenta electa de Asociación de Bibliotecas de los Estados Unidos visitará bibliotecas de Puerto Rico

Convoca a todos los presidentes de asociaciones de profesionales de la información y directores de bibliotecas y otros centros informativos para reunirse el 16 de enero de 2018 a las 2:00 PM en el Anfiteatro A-211 de la Facultad de Ciencias Naturales de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Río Piedras.

URGENTE!!! Necesitamos que TODOS los centros culturales y de información completen el cuestionario de daños y necesidades

Varias organizaciones nacionales e  internacionales, entre ellas ALA, han activado proyectos para ayudar en la recuperación de los centros culturales y de información de Puerto Rico, pero para ello ameritan información sobre la necesidad de éstos.  Por lo que urge que todas las bibliotecas, museos y archivos de Puerto Rico llenen el cuestionario de daños y necesidades que se encuentra disponible en:
